sooooooo......

the weekend was interesting . in a boring painful kinda way

saturday night saw me deciding finaly to try deep frying some battered chicken when i finaly found the reciepe from hawaii and our honeymoon

anyhow long story .... slightly shorter
not a good idea

oh the chicken was yummy, and the batter amazing well the 3 peices out of about 20 that were there to be made.
the three peices of chicken were verry happy in their oily home
when i happened to make the mistake of adding one peice of potato to the boiling oil.
the oil did not like this. the oil decided to bubble and boil over and basically make a mess
uh oh
yeah big uh oh
zoe picked up the pan didnt she
oh yes she did
the oil over ran the pan and her hand didnt it
oh yes it did
the oil swamped the hot plate and errupted in a ball of flame didnt it
mmmm toasty roasty zoe and kitchen

so basically mum and mark had fun cleaning up the 2 litres ( half gallon) of cannola oil off the benchtop and entire kitchen floor( the sink is opposite the cooktop in my square kitchen- the oil the pan and my hand went to the sink convienently sloshing all over the floor on the way there)

and i had fun with my hand in a bowl of ice water for 9 hours
well who ever knew boiling oil kinda hurts. cause its, you know, boiling and all ;op

i now have a huge blister on my finger - actualy i'm rather surprised how lightly i got off- i figure its cause the oil was ( relitivly) not hot
2 days later, a lot of medicaly graded teatree oil and anesthetic containing burn cream later and all the big redness is gone, just the nice big plasma pea on my knuckle ( i think thats a new zoe word and i like it - plasma pea plasma pea plasma pea- its got a good ring to it)

i'm gonna have to take a few pics when i get home cause its quite interesting in the OMG-i-didnt-know-skin-could-stretch-that-far kinda a way.

sunday -
sunday was lunch out with my parents and aunt uncle and cousin their birthdays are oct 31 and nov1 so it was birthday lunch anyhwo my cousin is 4 days over due and looks like she's bout to pop out a baby and an entire nusury full of furniture! now i've seen overdue ladies but OOOOOOOOOOHHHH MMMMMMYYYYYY GOOOOOOOODDDD add a basketball and a bowling ball together and maybe thats about the right size

other then that life is boringly normal


suss i'm gonna go looking tomorrow or wednesday- i have 4 good choices on a decent place to find what you want i'm gonna get samples and mail it all to you as soon as i have it all watch the mail in 2 weeks time
