A sad day
Today is a rather sad day
Tinkerbell was put down tonight at about 730pm
last night about midnight she all of a sudden started twitching and falling down her pupils were huge and dilated mum thought she was stroking. After an emergency trip to the 24hr vet with some howling pain at being touched and a sore mouth and back and legs and ears along with the fitting, it was discovered that she most likely had a very large brain tumour.
which makes a lot of sense when you add together the 18 months of dementure limping and rapidly increasing deafness. That we attributed to pure old age and which were often followed by brief moments of kitten-like playfulness and lucidity.
At 16yrs and 2 months she had a long and good life for a pure bred cat
but it is never nice to see a pet in pain
and never nice to have to think about euthanasia
in a way its almost better for her then having to put up with the stress of learning to live with rocky when we move in next week. especialy if she was that sick
*sigh*
well time to move on and thrive
